English for Pre-Teens is our new programme for children 8 to 12 years of age. Parents can do also an English course if they so wish, whilst their children are being taught elsewhere. Parents do not have to do a course, however, children must be brought to and collected from school every day.
The courses cover the four language skills of language (speaking, listening, reading and writing) naturally including vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. A high emphasis is placed on the fun aspect of learning and during the course teachers make use of a whole array of techniques and materials including language games, videos, casettes, magazines, pair work and group work.
On the first course day the spoken and written English of the kids is assessed. They are then placed in the appropriate level group.
The courses offer an opportunity to mingle with students of other nationalities thus familiarising with other cultures. In the afternoon and evenings we organise a wide variety of activities that can be booked on a day to day basis. The social programme starts after 14:30, so teenagers booking 30 lessons can also take part in the activities.
